News: Introducing the PB&J Burger!

This Sunday (January 24th) is National Peanut Butter Day and if you know us here at James vs. Burger, then you’ll know that we LOVE peanut butter! We’ve previously reviewed burgers with peanut butter, made our own and just generally wondered why there aren’t more peanut butter burger options out there. We were going to just make some peanut butter burgers at home and be done with it, but then we asked ourselves: why not take it one step further?

To celebrate National Peanut Butter Day, we’ve teamed up with the good folks at Bread Meats Bread, who have allowed James vs. Burger to takeover their specials menu for the weekend, to bring peanut butter burgers to the people of Glasgow. We put together an idea for a burger and the team at BMB have made it a reality!

Meet…the PB&J burger!

Consisting of organic peanut butter, a smashed beef patty topped with American cheese, Sriracha bacon jam and a few drops of Buffalo hot sauce on a brioche bun, the PB&J burger is definitely one to mark the occasion. The bacon jam is made from scratch and consists of smoked bacon, maple syrup, coffee, coca cola, balsamic caramelised onions and Sriracha.

“Peanut butter on a burger?!”, I hear you ask. Trust us…it just works.

“Where and when can I get one?”

Available only for a limited time, you can grab a PB&J burger from 3pm on Friday January 22nd until Sunday January 24th by visiting Bread Meats Bread on St. Vincent Street in Glasgow. The PB&J burger is priced at £8.

Please let us know if you try one and your thoughts. Hit us up on Twitter or Facebook.

Happy National Peanut Butter Day!
